Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr

I'm sure I'm not the only person who isn't sure what these products are actually called?!  I think it's Color Tattoo 24hr, but 24hr Color Tattoo just sounds so much better!  Either way, they're not particularly new, but I thought I'd share my thoughts with you.

I picked up On and On Bronze; a lovely deep bronze shade which I don't find to be too warm, and Eternal Gold.  I've yet to use Eternal Gold as I'm worried it'll lean slightly too yellow for my skin tone.

These are marketed as a cream gel eyeshadow, which I find to be very similar in consistency and design as MAC Paint Pots.  The staying power of these when swatched is immense - even after bathing they were still going strong on my hand.  But perhaps my eyelids are just too oily, but I wasn't as impressed when I wore them properly.  They were good, but not as amazing as the smudge on the back of my hand and then "tattoo" name would suggest.  I've yet to try them as a base, so I am curious to see whether they would last longer with an eyeshadow applied on top.

Overall I'm impressed with these.  They're a great, affordable alternative to a Paint Pot and I wish there were more colours available.  What are your thoughts?

  2. I use eternam gold as a base with UD's half baked on top, perfect combo for a pale skinned patsy like me!
The bronze shade looks pretty awesome too though
