9 Little Things: University

  1. I studied Law at the University of Surrey.
  2. There were two times when I seriously considered quitting.
  3. Mine and my bestie (the one who frequented lavatories with me)'s friendship imploded.  I call this The Cold War and it lasted for nearly 2 years.
  4. I became a serious Party Machine with a seriously Fabulous Lady.  Adventures were had in our little Palace, and there was many a road trip.
  5. My beloved cat (and namesake) died of cancer.
  6. I went out in our Student Union less than 10 times throughout the whole of Uni.
  7. I celebrated my love for The Legendary Miss Britney Spears with a Britney themed 21st.  The girls came as different Britneys (I was VMA's Slave 4 U performance Britney, complete with snake) and the boys were either Justin or K-Fed.  The highlight was my Stepdad as JT and Mum as pink wig Britney.
  8. My other bestie was on a placement year, so back home for my final year of Uni.  We had the time of our lives and our pyjama-love reached its peak with a trip to Morrisons whilst wearing them.
  9. I chopped my bottle-blonde hair off and dyed it brunette.

  1. Uni was such a weird time... Mostly good but lots of 'car crash' moments! That's your early twenties for you though, right? Can't believe it's nine years since I went to uni! xx

  3. I love you even more now knowing you had a Britney themed birthday party. Legend. I'm two months shy of graduating and I could seriously throw the towel in now, I'm so over being an undergrad.

  4. I'm in a cold war with a ex uni friend now, it's intense but I'm enjoying the drama. Sorry about your cat arghg it makes me sad to think about.

A Britney party is amazing, my 21s was 'B' themed for Becca, I went as Barbie. It rained all night. xxx

    1. Haha drama's fun for a while, but I'm glad we sorted it all out now!

And if I was invited to your 21st it would be such a happy coincidence because I'd have to come as Britney! x

  5. Great post! I suddenly miss uni, my little sister is starting in September and I've been talking about it lots with her and it's made me oddly nostalgic. Even though I only graduated last June haha x

    1. I wouldn't say I was pressured into uni, but being academic and going to a sixth form college I feel like that was what was expected of me! x
